Do I need a credit card to start?
No. Both the Cloud and self-hosted trials start without a credit card. You only add billing details if you decide to upgrade to a paid plan.
Should I try self-hosted or Cloud?
Both run the same gateway, the difference is who operates it. Choose self-hosted if you need webhooks to run inside your own environment for full control over data and compliance. Choose Cloud if you want us to handle hosting, scaling, and uptime. Not sure? Start self-hosted, you are not locked in.
What happens when the 14 days are up?
Nothing breaks and you are never charged automatically. You can upgrade to a paid plan to keep the premium features, or keep using the free open-source Community edition forever.
Can I move between Cloud and self-hosted later?
Yes. It is the same Convoy gateway underneath, so there is no lock-in. Teams start self-hosted and move to Cloud to offload operations, or go the other way to meet new compliance requirements. Reach out and we will help you migrate.
